Effective 9 July 2026. The short version: our price data is careful but an estimate, dealers are independent businesses, and when you request quotes we make the introduction, the deal you strike is between you and the dealer.

Who we are

What this site is

We publish propane price information, a directory of licensed propane dealers sourced from public state licensing registries, and an optional quote request service that passes your request to validated local dealers so they can send you a price.

Price data is an estimate

Our prices come from public sources, mainly the US Energy Information Administration's weekly residential survey, and from our own calculations on top of them. They are averages and estimates, not offers. Your actual delivered price depends on your dealer, volume, tank situation, and contract. Never make a financial decision on our numbers alone: get written quotes.

The quote request service is an introduction, not a transaction

When you request quotes, we send your request to up to three validated local dealers, and their replies come back to you through us. That is the whole service. We are not a propane supplier, a broker, or an agent for either side. Any quote, contract, delivery, or dispute is strictly between you and the dealer. We take no commission from either side and we are not a party to the transaction.

Dealers are independent businesses

"Validated" means we cross-checked a dealer's claim against the public state licensing registry before letting them receive requests. It is not an endorsement, a guarantee of their work, or a statement about their prices or service. Check credentials, insurance, and reviews before you sign anything, and for safety-critical work always use appropriately licensed professionals.

No guarantee of quotes or coverage

The quote service operates area by area and only where validated dealers cover your ZIP code. You may receive three quotes, one, or none. We promise the introduction attempt, not the outcome.

If you are a dealer

Claiming a listing requires that you have authority to act for that business and that the details you give are accurate. Participation is free during our pilot. We may correct, suspend, or remove listings and participation at our discretion, for example for inaccurate details, complaints, or conduct that harms consumers or the service.

Our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for the conduct, pricing, work, or omissions of any dealer, for the outcome of any transaction, or for decisions made on our published data. The site and quote service are provided free of charge and as-is; our total liability to you is limited to 100 GBP. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including fraud, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights your local law gives you that cannot be waived.

Our content

The site's text, design, and calculators are ours. Dealer details come from public registries. You may quote or link to the site; do not scrape or republish it wholesale.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and material changes to the quote service will be announced to participating dealers before they take effect.
